Martensitic grades ( 1.4006, 1.4021, 1.4024, 1.4028, 1.4031, 1.4034, 1.4122, 1.4110, 1.4116, 1.4419 ) stainless steel sheet & plate

EN 1.4006, DIN X12Cr13, AISI 410, UNS S41000, Low hardness martensitic grade. Corrosion resistant in water and steam. Mainly supplied as plate or long product for mechanical engineering applications (e.g. valves, axles, pump parts).

EN 1.4021, DIN X20Cr13, AISI 420,  JIS SUS420J1Very popular martensitic grade. Corrosion resistant in water and steam. Low-medium hardness for applications such as cutting utensils, surgical instruments, press plates, brake discs and mechanical parts.

EN 1.4024, DIN X15Cr13Martensitic grade with slightly increased hardenability (comp. 1.4006). Corrosion resistant in water and steam. For mechanical engineering applications and surgical instruments.

EN 1.4028, DIN X30Cr13, AISI 420, JIS SUS420J2Medium-hardness martensitic grade. Corrosion resistant in water and steam. Applied for cutting utensils, surgical instruments, measuring tools, mechanical parts esp. subject to wear.

EN 1.4031, DIN X39Cr13, Martensitic grade with medium-high hardness . Corrosion resistant in water and steam. Applied for cutting utensils, surgical instruments, measuring tools, mechanical parts subject to wear.

EN 1.4034, DIN X46Cr13High-hardness martensitic grade. Corrosion resistant in water and steam. For e.g. professional kitchen knives, top-quality knives, surgical instruments, press plates, brake disks.

EN 1.4122, DIN X39CrMo17-1, X35CrMo17most corrosion resistant martensitic grade, good resistance in moderately corrosive, low chloride containing environments. Very good mechanical properties and wear resistance. Medium-high hardness. Applied for e.g. surgical instruments, food processing equipment, mechanical parts, machine and pump construction.

EN 1.4110, DIN X55CrMo14High hardness martensitic grade (comp. 1.4034), but with improved corrosion and wear resistance. Applied for e.g. knife blades, scissors, surgical cutting tools, measuring tools, pump construction, valves.

EN 1.4116, DIN X50CrMoV15, AISI 420MoVSimilar to 1.4110, but with elevated wear resistance. Applied especially for cutting instruments which undergo partial hardening for excellent wear resistance of functional surfaces.

EN 1.4419, DIN X38CrMo14
