This high-carbon chromium steel is designed to provide stainless properties with maximum hardness; approximately Rockwell C 60 after heat treatment. Type 440F or 440F-Se should be considered for machined parts which require higher hardness values than possible with other free-machining grades.
We are specialised in stainless martensitic steels (knife steels), which are primarily used for the production of cutlery and
surgical instruments. products in forms of hot- and cold-rolled sheet, plate, strip, coil and bars.
